KNOWLEDGE KEEPER

Share knowledge and information on sweetgrass, sage, and any other traditional items used, guests can participate in smudging with these traditional sources. Duration 1 hour.

POWWOW DANCER

Dressed in full regalia, dancer(s) will perform and explain the type of dance that they do. You can join the dancer who will show you some dance steps. Duration 1 hour.

DRUMMER

Will share the significance to the drum and traditional songs. Guests will have the opportunity to listen to traditional drumming and participate in a round dance. Duration 1 hour.

STORY TELLER

Listen to our storyteller who brings Blackfoot culture to life through their words. The storyteller weaves tales passed down through generations, transporting listeners to a time when the land echoed with the footsteps of our ancestors. The storyteller invites visitors to immerse themselves in the vibrant heritage of Blackfoot people and gain a deeper understanding of their way of life. Duration 1 hour.

Our Policies

Bookings should be made at least 30 days in advance. Please call Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park at 1-403-734-4384 or email: bookings@blackfootcrossing.ca

The booking coordinator will contact you and send you a tipi request form to fill out. Please let the coordinator know at the time of booking if special needs must be accommodated.

If you cancel within the 14 days prior to arrival 10% of your total payment will be charged as an administrative fee.

Payment is due upon arrival at Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park.
